While Samsung Galaxy S24 stole all the limelight earlier this year during the Galaxy Unpacked event in California, the AI-powered Galaxy S24 Ultra quietly played its role. It impressed all Samsung fans with its specifications and powerful features.
Although most of the focus this time will again be on the Galaxy S25, all eyes will be on the S25 Ultra version. With many speculating about the Galaxy S Plus edition of the phablet being discontinued, analysts and top researchers are keen to see what more Ultra can offer. Many top analysts have even called it a meetup of “AI innovation and Flagship Power.”
The release of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus made all tech geeks change their stance about device-based AI after experiencing disappointment with Google Pixel 8, which relied heavily on cloud processing. The same will be expected this time around as well, with the Korean tech giant expected to take giant strides towards AI advancements in its smartphones and phablets.
Below are the latest updates from the Galaxy S series AI world:
Samsung is expected to make further advancements towards AI with some new and powerful features in addition to those existing in Galaxy S24, like FAQs about Galaxy AI, Generative Edit, AI Live Wallpaper, AI photo editing, etc. If rumors are to be believed, then one can even expect DLSS-like AI upscaling with gaming experience along with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 capable of supporting interpolation (AI frames).
If the latest ongoing rumors around the web are to be believed, then the South Korean giant is even working on AI-featured battery updates that could save up to 8-10% of battery life. While no major updates are expected when it comes to battery capacity, the latest AI-dubbed battery could offset that.
Popularly being termed Battery AI, it is expected to make use of the On Device-AI feature to automatically stop the applications in the background which have not been used for a while. Additionally, the UFS 4.1, also known as Universal Flash Storage, will also make the battery more efficient. All AI-based apps are expected to process their tasks much faster with incremental updates in UFS.
While all these could merely end up being speculations, they cannot be ruled out entirely when you realize we are still five months away from the unveiling of the next beast to tame AI, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
