Samsung’s Galaxy S flagship phones have become the go-to phone for people looking to upgrade or buy new phones. These top-of-the-line premium smartphones from Samsung offer beefed-up specs, a glass sandwiched body, and a pair of cameras that get close to a regular camera. The company offers three models to choose from; namely, Galaxy S25, the Galaxy S25 +, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
While rumors have poured in on all the details of the budget-friendly S25 and the premium, S25 Ultra, the same rumors almost wiped out the Galaxy S25 lineup out of existence. News just came in that the Galaxy S25 Plus production is in full swing and we should see the flagship debut during the January event.
Seldom talked about, being a middle child in the Galaxy S25 lineup, the S25 Plus seems to get less attention. The phone packs a premium for consumers wishing to spend less on the Ultra models.
The Galaxy S25+ will see some major upgrades this year thanks in part to Samsung’s change in strategy to focus more on the details that make up a phone like the display, camera, SoC, and RAM.
Although the company stresses AI capabilities, it’s still not a mainstream feature. With companies struggling to incorporate the feature into smartphones, consumers will be less likely to be interested in this than any other feature set.
AMOLED has been the crown jewel for Samsung. The company’s pioneer display tech features vivid punchy colors compromising less on battery. The S25+ as per rumors will likely feature an upgraded 6.8-inch display keeping the resolution similar to the previous year’s Plus model.
Exynos 2500 will likely be Samsung’s choice of SoC to power the device as news recently confirms that Samsung might stick to this chip exclusively for the S25 lineup. 12GB RAM will be available for all the storage models while the camera will be a slight variation of the S24+ from last year.
