Samsung’s choices for the S25 Ultra are questionable and one to think about

Let’s start with the bad news first. Although the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to be an upgrade over the S24 Ultra, Samsung is cutting back on hardware, which might make this Ultra version less enticing for consumers.

We still question the company’s choice to stick with the S24 Ultra’s 5000mAh battery for the S25 Ultra. But questions aside, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Gen 4 powering the S25 Ultra will be optimized, promising better battery performance.

Leaks have revealed that the S25 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.9-inch OLED display and upgraded cameras. While this 5000mAh battery may not sound like a big deal, we must wait for the official announcement.

The good news is that Samsung is expected to go exclusively with the Snapdragon Gen 4 for the S25 lineup. This rumor has been echoing for a while now, meaning it could become a reality.

Samsung’s OneUI 7 features overhauled UI, a refreshing addition to the Galaxy S25 lineup.

On the other side of the spectrum, Samsung is reskinning its OneUI. Recent leaks have shown a slew of updates for the upcoming OneUI 7. The updates will feature on the Galaxy S25 lineup and show a refreshed look.

The highlight of OneUI 7 is Samsung mimicking the Dynamic Island found on the iPhone 15 lineup. Samsung’s implementation of the feature, although simple, like showing active apps like the timer, will require waiting for the official announcement.
