The company has been outperforming its contenders by offering one of the best mobile handset models in the industry with the Galaxy S lineup.

If you are looking for a mobile phone with a good design, a good set of cameras, performance, and battery, look no further than the Galaxy S24. The company has been following this script for the past couple of years now. The Galaxy S23 was such a great hit, that the company inherited some of its elements and made the S24 even better. Let’s not get into the whole Galaxy S24 Ultra details, the device is in a league of its own. This year, too, we are expecting nothing from the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S25 coming soon
Samsung Galaxy S25 coming soon

The astute among you might have noticed the omission of the Galaxy S25+ or Galaxy S25 Plus. Well, some rumors point to the omission of this model from the pack. Whether this rumor will be true is another story.

Galaxy AI is the new trend, and we are going to see a lot of it on the Galaxy S25.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Design: A familiar face or a whole new package?

Either way, customers will get the best in the industry. Samsung hasn’t changed much of the design of their flagship Galaxy S smartphones since Galaxy S22.

Just like how Apple has been doing minor upgrades to their design, even the rumored iPhone 16 is set to get a design like the iPhone 15, Samsung for this year will mostly stick to the same script. The curved boxy design with a matte back is set to make an appearance in the Galaxy S25, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra to be in a bigger shell with a similar design to last year.

Although there are some rumors about how Samsung might change some bits of the design, to an end customer it will be fairly minimal given we don’t compare it with an iPhone 16 side by side.

Familiar button placement will be here, with the power and volume rocker flanking to the right. The color options for the device will mostly remain like last year. While some rumors point to the existence of new color options this year, some debate. Hence, it’s safe to say we will have to wait to find out.

Yes, there will be a Galaxy S25 Plus, details other sets of rumors.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Display: Scaling the trend to the top

The Galaxy S24 debuted with a 6.2-inch LTPO-OLED display with HDR support. Safe to say, it was stunning! The richness in color was evident and Samsung does a pretty good job of adding oh-so oomph to their smartphone, specifically the display and camera.

Fast-forward to this year, and we have reliable sources stating that the Galaxy S25 display will be bigger, now, scaling to 6.36-inches from the 6.2 of yesteryear.

Having a 6.3-inch display on the S25 puts it in line with the iPhone 16 Pro, which is also expected to boast a 6.3-inch display with MLA tech. Even though Apple uses an OLED panel and many reviewers, forums, and websites have shared technical details that iPhones come with the best displays, we will have to give it to Samsung for offering a vibrant and rich-colored display.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Camera: As clear as a bright sunny day

Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra has one of the best camera setups in the industry, offering a setup for a wide range of scenarios. While there are multiple rumors surrounding the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s cameras, one thing is clear, Samsung has to do a lot of work to outperform the S24 in this department.

Multiple sources convey the details in different directions. One source details that Samsung this year will ditch the ISOCELL sensor for a Sony sensor, while another says the camera setup will be the same.

Either way, the Galaxy S25 camera setup includes a mix of wide, ultrawide, and telephoto lenses like last year. As we have already tasted the blend of concoctions Samsung adds in the processing, rest assured, this year will be no different. Whether it’s ISOCELL or Sony, you are looking at a no-compromise camera setup for the S25.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Hardware: Ploughing through with ease

Another winning department for the Galaxy S smartphones is the hardware side. Multiple rumors are concluding with a big reveal that Samsung is going big this year with performance. That is to say, a new performance and battery champ.

Let’s start with rumors first. As per one source, the Galaxy S25 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, peaking out at 4GHz clock speed. Samsung usually follows a script and offers the Galaxy S models in Exynos variant for international versions. However, multiple sources have concluded that Samsung will unify its line-up, which will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

“Even though this may be the flash news, let’s not give up on the idea of the Galaxy S25 models co-existing with the Exynos 2500 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.”

Samsung Galaxy S25 Battery: A breakthrough in smartphone batteries

We’ve talked about the powerhouse that is the S25, but what does it take to power this device? Well, the answer depends. With a 3-nanometer manufacturing process chip at its core, the nominal requirement is “good enough to”.

As per the rumors, There isn’t any news about any measurable value for the battery, but there is however evidence that Samsung is working on a breakthrough design that involves stacking batteries to offer more power in a considerably less package.

With a 5000mAH battery pack for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, out of the question, there is only one explanation. The S25 retains the S24 battery in the newly designed fashion. This is to say that the Galaxy S25 will boast a substantially better battery life. Apart from these updates, Samsung will also be updating the fasting charging for both wired and wireless options.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Release Date: Twenty25 is the year

Samsung will be holding a Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, 2024. The event will most likely introduce consumers to the latest hardware and software updates from the company. This will also give us a glimpse into what we can expect in early 2025 when the Galaxy S25 is purported to be announced.

The launch of the Galaxy S25 like the previous generation will be grand and packed with major milestones to give the competitors a tough time. The last week of January or the first week of February is the likely time we see the S25 in the flesh.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Price: Counting ‘em dollars

Let’s get straight into the news here. These are going to be premium devices with a price of the same name.

Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro is expected to be priced slightly higher this time, starting at $1099. With the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and Ultra retailed for $799, $999, and $1299, the S25 might see a similar pricing with the base model expected to start from $899.
